UPDATE 4-Boeing posts lower-than-expected 2nd-qtr loss, stock gains

NEW YORK, July 27 (Reuters) - Boeing Co reported a

smaller-than-expected second-quarter loss on Wednesday,

cushioned by strong performances in its jetliner and defense
